I was gonna present this as a veer in the recent Miscellaneous forum TdeF thread someone posted but thought my veer was too veeracious. So I started a thread.
I find the verbiage they use interesting. Post your favorite or most disagreeable terms here.

1. Abandons - As in "Mark Cavendish abandons the tour after crash". I don't think they should call it abandoning the tour when you have to quit, because it makes it sound like you wanted to quit, and none of them want to.

2. Crack - As in "Marco has cracked". I think this is a humorous way to indicate someone got too tired to go on.

3. Anaemic - as in "And some of the more anaemic riders are following behind.". Does Phil think he could keep up?!?!?! Give them a little respect. I mean they are some of the fastest humans alive even if they are in the back. :ROFLMAO:

My favorite cycling term is is "bonked". It's not fun when it happens to you.
I bonked only once. It was my own fault for going out on an out-and-back too hard. Learned my lesson. Hoping it never happens again.

A bit of argy bargy going on - riders bumping into each to other to get an advantage during a sprint finish.
