Interesting quick review of some of the favorites, with only one surprise (OM120). I wish only that the recordings did justice to the guitars, especially so in the case of the vintage Guild M20. Also didn't realize that we qualified as a "cult!"

I didn't track it exactly, but of the 10, 6? 7? could be called variations of only two guitars. Lots of glowing commentary from a visible person in the on-line guitar world, but it seems like there are other great options that could have provided more variety.

I guess it isn't that important to me which Guilds he includes in his list, we all have our favorites after all.

I just thought it was nice the Guild Brand got a nice endorsement. And I don't at all mind being part of something others might classify as a "cult".

My '69 D-40 did not sound as good as the one in the video. Maybe it was a dud.

I couldn't make it though that video.

I did notice he forgot to mention Slash and David Gilmour.

Interesting. I noticed the stark omission of the D-25 which I think many here would agree has been a consistent and impressive cannon throughout the years.

Thanks for posting!

I like Tony, feel he has a good grip on the acoustic guitar scene.
I did notice he forgot to mention Slash and David Gilmour.
Oh, speaking of Slash, check out the recent Slash guitar collection interview he does with Gibson TV, he does bust out his Guild double neck which is a really cool instrument, whole video is worth the hour you’ll never get back, especially more so if you like Les Pauls, which I do, but was curious if he’d talk about Guild at all and they went there so I thought it was awesome.

It’s a total cult 😆. But it’s ok. Drink the guild kool aide !

That’s funny, right there!

OTOH, cults also make it OK to do irrational stuff, like buying 10 more guitars than you need, regardless of talent.
I’ll have to try that one on my wife next time we have that err, uhh “discussion?”. “Honey, the cult made me do it. Damn LTG. I was powerless to resist”.
