A length of split foam pipe insulation should do the trick.

I believe you are right... though to me it looks more like Dan than Warren. lol. Wikipedia says WarrenHaynes joined up in '89 and the video is from '91.

Really? This was Toler during his Allman days. Looks nothing like Warren.

well the confusion is certainly justified haa. I never thought WH looked at all like Dangerous Dan until u posted that. That is pretty funny there is definitely some resemblence.

A while back someone here posted one of the greatest stories I have ever read on the net. He said Dicky and Dangerous Dan hijacked his band's set at some club in NYC in between Beacon shows, while Gregg was faceplanted in a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs right at the 12:00 position of table #1. He said Dicky played his Guild acoustic and when he geave it back it was somehow all mangled up. and Dan borrowed the other guys strat. totally believable story, absolutley priceless!

thanks very much for the link! i was failing at slide for years (many, many years ha) until one day by chance I came upon some clip, without searching for it...of Warren demonstrating that the slide simply needs to be over the fret, not behind the fret like your finger would be "or else u will be flat..." man, talk about an ah ha moment. much better since then!! haa

Dickey Betts!

I always wondered how much of a reprobate he had be for getting kicked out of AB.

Dickey was a known mean drunk. During Dickey's last few tours w/ The Allmans, they would start a tour w/ 4 to a bus. By the time they got back to Macon, they'd be 6 to a bus, and Dickey would have a bus to himself. Enough was enough. (I know this from first hand accounts) Personally for me, I soarly missed Dickey on stage w/ the Bros. Even though the Derek/Warren/Oteil lineup was arguably the best stringed instrument lineup they ever had, you just can't replace Dickey's voice, or his chops.

I remember that story...tried finding it earlier today.

He played 3x in Syracuse, once he had to leave 2/3rd of the way through, he was toast.

He was a great writer as well....too bad

How many buses?

X buses with 4 people each = 4x people.

(X-1) buses with 6 people each plus one bus with one person so 6(x-1) + 1 people

Assume no casualties so the number of people remained the same.

So 4x = 6(x-1) + 1

4x = 6x -6 +1
0 = 2x -5
5 = 2x

and thus 2 and a half buses.

Too bad because in a world where people are afraid of arithmetic and a touch of algebra you could pump this problem up so that the person trying to solve it actually wanted to know the answer
