So, I iam n guitar center today and I see a set of TI Jazz-Swing flatwounds 12-50 on sale for 16.99... Before today the only flatwounds I have ever tried were the D'addario chromes... And honestly folks... I have never liked them... Mostly because of the dull flat tone and spoungey feel...

What I wanted was a flatwound that has a similar tone to a pure nickel round wound... And the TI strings fit this profile very nicely... They have a tone similar to a Gibson Vintage reissue pure nickel... In addition they feel great... Not spoungey and hard like the D'addario's.... And also, the tension feels less than the (same gauge) D'addario's... Maybe that is an illusion..

Also finally we have a flatwound that sounds good on the bridge pickup...

Count me in too. A while back, Frosty made note of using them on Jumbo size models. A couple of days ago, I put a set of Plectrums on my JF55. Makes a world of difference to the sound, which prior to this, I had always felt was not quite there for me. Never thought I would rave about a set of $16 strings (from Strings & beyond) If they hold up like I've heard, I'll be back for more.
