Hi Pike; yeah, it's a little ugly to see that. Without commenting on how the seller comes by that stuff, he's a reliable, credible source for Guild parts. I bought a set of original Guild 6-on-a-side 12-string tuners from him; he turned them around in a few days and they were in VG condition ... I just hope the bodies were dead when he took the parts ..  CJ

I bought some 1st gen '63-'70 pickups from him recently. Just as advertised and a good price. Plus, I vouched for a LTG member who was in another part of the world and he shipped another set overseas. Now, that was a very kind thing to do!

He's a good guy to do biz with. If he says they're legit, he's probably right. At the prices he sells things for, if one or two guards are takamines or something else, I don't think anybody is getting hurt.

My personal opinion is that he's had his parts for a long time, probably an old repairman who saved every replaced part for thirty or forty years and has reached the point in Life that he is Cashing It All Out.

He tends to sell like things at the same time. When I bought the pickups, he had two 1st gen sets of Guild Humbuckers for sale plus one or two
HB-1 models as well. He never has old, stripped guitars for sale. I think there are plenty of more worthy people to get mad at..........

Hi Harry: the gentleman is down in the FL Keys. I know you are as concerned as I about the flow of legitimate Guild parts throughout the Free World. I was thinking we might approach DKL about LTG funding a Fact-Finding mission to the Keys ... before it gets too hot. Since all in the Land of Guild would benefit, you and I ought not to carry the burden of the expenses ... the Four Seasons should do it. We could interview the guy, check his bona fides and inventory, maybe do a little tarpon fishing in the afternoon so other Guilders could buy with confidence ... I think that's the least we could ... no no, make that would do.

This is what that poor devil has to look forward to at the end of every day ...
