Well, it was a big deal in Texas, too. My wife and I have been watching CNN all day.

I telephoned my big Sis in Cambridge twice to check on her. At first, she didn't know what was happening and went outside to walk the dog. Her neighbors told her to go back inside and watch the TV. Good advice, it's just too bad she doesn't have a TV!

Terror won't work on Americans. Oh, we'll mess with each other about who lives in a Blue State or a Red State, or about Gun Control, but in most of us, in enough of us, there is a tough streak that comes out when it has to. When you bomb a Marathon, you are bombing the People, Us, not a Political Idea. And simply, We won't stand for it.

Hey, will you Boston area guys tell me where to donate some money, when the time comes? I know that there are some victims who need some help and want my gift to to the best place to make that happen.

The Kraft family that owns the Patriots has set a fund you can donate to on the Patriots' web page. I'm sure there will be others but that's the first one I heard about. The Krafts are honest and honorable people so you can be assured that the money will go where it's supposed to.

Thanks, Mr. Hound! Do you know if that fund would include the officer at MIT who was killed? Meanwhile, I'll check out the Patriots' site.

I looked at it quickly and it seems the Krafts are matching whatever funds come in. So many people's lives were affected that I don't know if any one in particular will be singled out. I found it on the pats page under the "community" button. All funds will be sent to THE ONE FUND which was set up by the governor and the mayor.

Sean Allen Collier's posting was included in the Boston Globe's death notices this morning. Sean is the MIT Police Officer who was killed in the line of duty on Thursday evening. The notice states that memorial gifts may be made to The Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, Fl 6, Brookline, MA 02445-9924.

For those that are not familiar, The Jimmy Fund is an organization that raises money for childhood cancer, it has been around this area for years and years, supported by many sports figures.
