This one brings me back. I loved this kinda stuff, and I thought the lead singer was really hot :oops:

Song was written by Carole King. The Shirelles turned it down originally, said it was "too country". The producer added violins to pacify them and the rest, as they say, is history :D Sadly, no violins in this version.

By the way, this is a beautiful song to play on an acoustic Guild :D

I agree Dread,...a great song to play on the acoustic! I enjoy it at least, and even with the lyrics as they are......my wife gets a kick out of me singing them...as I do in my most sincere tones :lol: .......and my little girl (8) is listening, ....somewhat confused! :shock: WHAT IS ALL THIS ABOUT!!! :roll: Great song! Southern :wink:
