Played a new Mexican-made DV6 at Mandolin Bros. the other day. I was really impressed! The price was around $815, and worth every penny! Lightweight, great sound, all around. I believe the sides and back are Rosewood.
Then went to the DV4. Not as impressed. It was alright, but not as near as impressive as its Rosewood brother.
Then went to the American-made F-30. I had been playing that one for a while now, and for twice the cost, did not stand up to the DV6.
