Thirty five years ago on April 15th 1985 (I remember it like it was yesterday) Thomas "The Hitman" Hearns vs. "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler. The fight only lasted 3 rounds with Hagler getting a TKO on Hearns, but those three rounds were probably the best 3 rounds of a boxing match I've ever seen. Ever. That's right I said it. It was the greatest three rounds I've ever witnessed. Saying it was a WAR is an understatement....both fighters went in to DEFCON 1 from the opening bell to the end.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. From days gone by, from a long ago era of boxers that will never be duplicated. Muhammed Ali, George Foreman, Larry Holmes, Sugar Ray Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, Roberto Duran, Wifredo Benitez, Ray 'Boom Boom" Mancini.

the look on Hern's face during that last break before final round says it all. he looks exhausted. Hagler came out so fired up from beginning. Just was in better shape i think for this fight. Better conditioning. But i know very little about boxing.

Thanks for posting. Hagler-Leonard was pretty good too, even if I didn't agree with the outcome. (I may be biased - Hagler was a local hero.)
