A good example, maybe the best, cut right to the chase, their swansong quite possibly, Stairway to Heaven.
You either love it or hate it, you don't get tired of it.
I've heard it a million times, and have come to the decision that it's one of the finest compositions rock music anywhere, from any time period.
And that's after "hearing it too many times" as many people point out, like Hotel California, yes, you did hear it "too many times" and that part of the charm, and just how good it is that is can actually get better and better as time goes on, you change and become even more appreciative. You 'hear it again one day" after a long break, with fresh ears and you're blown away, even more than before. Like a watching a movie again and noticing details you missed before.
I like a lot of music more as time goes on, It's a comparison thing. I'm stuck in the past. Bands I didn't like much at one time like Stooges, Dead Kennedys, The Clash, Green Day etc all sound fabulous to me know.
So, "good" music is not only timeless, it only gets better with time.
