Holy shmoly! If only Hans can get these prices  ...

Used Books at Amazon
As noted in the numerous threads on guitar prices and values, just because a dealer puts a price tag on something doesn't mean it has sold, or will sell, at that price.

Besides, if they are used Hans has already gotten his share. But if he could get prices like those for the copies he has in storage then maybe he could make more trips to the U.S.A or have more time to work on Vol. II.

Yeah, a couple of us could sell our books, buy new ones from Hans (or anybody with a decent price) and support LTG for a couple of years. Biggest problem would be finding a sucker, er I mean buyer, who'd pay that price. :D
On another front, is this book on eBay worth having, especially at this price? It looks like it has different info than Hans's book.

$60.00??? For 125 pages of black & white? He's nuts. But then again, there's one born every minute...

Seriously, is it really out of print? Where can I get copy that is not worth a week's salary?

(no offense Hans)

Oh I'm not that easily offended! You should be able to get the regular soft cover for a reasonable price.
Actually, I'm surprised it is out of print. I get statements from the distributor every six months and the book still sells on a regular basis, so they should have seen it coming.
Anyway, from what I understand the new printing will be available in a couple of weeks.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

A little late. First, I bought a copy for about $20 or whatever list price is about 6 months ago, so, if it is out of print, there may be a few dealers with it in stock. I have a vague recollection it was either directly from the publisher or Barnes and Noble's web site.

As for the book itself, it does not compare to The Bible. There are several cases where information that is contained in both books is contradictory. My experience has been that Beesly is consistently wrong in those cases. What makes Beesly worth having around is the fact that it covers time and models that are not in Volume I. If someone mentions a Guild I've never heard of, for example, I first check out Kurt's web site. If there is no picture posted there then I try Beesley next. So there is some value to it. But, if I can get $60 for it, I'll sell, just as soon as Volume II is printed.
