Here's a nice pic (probably taken in 1965, before the band had their 'big break' in the Netherlands) I found a while ago which shows Wally Tax & Ron Splinter from the legendary Dutch band 'The Outsiders' in action with Guild-guitars -

I have always been quite curious how that venerable X-350 - which must have been a very rare sight in this country at the time - ended up in the possession of The Outsiders...

Hello Steve,

Did see the band perform several times and I do remember that X-350 but it was not played by Wally Tax. It was used by another member whose name I can't remember. The other Guild guitar on the left is a T-100D.

Sincerely,

Hello Hans,
in all the pics I've seen of The Outsiders where the X-350 makes an appearance it was played by second guitarist Tom Krabbendam, and the pic I posted in my first post is actually the first photo of the band I've personally ever seen where the Guild is played by Wally Tax;
Krabbendam (who left the band in early '68) and the X-350 can be seen in action during a TV-performance of The Outsiders' very first hit, 'Lying All The Time' : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIVAFcVpnf8

Here are 2 other photos (probably taken in resp. 1966 and 1968) featuring Tom Krabbendam with the X-350 and Ron Splinter and his T100-D :
