Yeah, it's kind of big thing around here (I'm 12 miles due south of Philly).
Been wearing Reggie White's jersey for the past two days and every sentence I utter ends with, "Go Birds!":

As a retired high school teacher and coach, I had the opportunity to coach some wonderful young men and athletes plus coach against many athletes who moved on to college and professional sports. Reggie White was one and this happened in 1986 or 1987 during a Christmas basketball tournament in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We played Chattanooga Howard and their starting post player (center) was, yes, Reggie White and he was a very good basketball player + he could really move for a big big man. Dickson County, the team I coached, was behind by double digits at half time. We come out of the locker room do our couple minutes of warm ups and I notice, no Reggie White and curious but happy he is not with his Howard team.
We make a 3rd quarter run and down by 3 - still no Reggie and we got a legitimate chance of winning this game. Three minutes left in the game and we are up 4. Their coach calls a time out and Reggie jogs out of the locker room onto the floor. Coach inserts him into the game and we lose. As we were in line shaking hands, after the game, I said to Reggie, "hope you are feeling better (assumed he was feeling sick at half time - wrong)." And I paraphrase (36 years to long to quote), "nosir coach, I wasn't sick, I made the high school All American Football Team and it was filmed an on TV. Coach said I could watch it cause I ain't never been on TV." True story and I followed his success through the University of Tennessee, Green Bay Packers, and your Eagles.
