There will be a slight cosmetic change. Danerectal has an Adjustomatic bridge that he has graciously agreed to sell me, so the sunny DeLuxe will soon have the proper equipment on it. The new bridge, a setup and a fresh set of strings, and I'll be in heaven.

The adjustomatic bridge arrived today (1,278 thank-yous, Dane) and now is in the hands of Madison's Guitar Repair. When I get it back, it will have a new bridge, my preferred Ernie Ball .10-.46 gauge strings and a new setup and will be ready to rock. Now, if I only had something else to play while it's in the shop.

I say get it functional and play the tar out of it. Of all your guitars, this is the one you shouldn't have to be afraid to get a little crazy on stage with. Enjoy man

+1 Get it playing and sounding good first, and mess with cosmetics later. Mojo is mojo is mojo. I think it looks sweet, though I understand the feeling. I got burned on my '65 SF III, and it still is sitting in the case awaiting a refret. <sigh> It's bad enough to deserve a refin, though, I'm still unsure. Maybe it'll get a facelift in green!

I had my '65 Starfire IV Special refretted and it plays like brand spanking new. Do it....

A full body shot of the sunny DeLuxe, with the soon-to-be replaced bridge on and the TRC on properly. There will be no refinishing. :D
