Hello,
Last summer, I purchased a new D50. After a lot of procrastinating, I finally got it to a tech last week to bring the string height down a bit.
As of now, it feels great, but I am noticing that it continues to make a harmonic sound for a few seconds after I mute a strummed chord. When I fingerpick, it doesn't seem to be a problem. Also, I can get harmonics to be very pronounced all the way up and down the fretboard instead of just at the standard 5th, 7th, and 12th frets. Is this something that needs to be looked at or is it normal post-setup behavior?
Now, this is my first acoustic (I only played a Strat for the last eight or nine years), so I may be showing myself to be clueless/hopelessly naïve, but I don't recall this happening on any other acoustic I tried during the time I was researching various models. Also, this did not happen before I had the setup done.
I did try searching this and other forums before posting this, but I couldn't find much information regarding this specific question. Any help would be very much appreciated.
