I'm trying to take advantage of thin fast 24 fret neck on my avatar guitar, and maybe making it strictly a lead instrument as you know no guitar does two things well, like being like loud and playing easy, it's oxymoronic, and this guitar just doesn't pack the punch in the rhythm department - spec-ed for .11's tops - so it may as well be freed up to use the fret board including a bendable G string, and it's a perrenial thing, wth string to put on a guitar in this instance and I ended here, 3 sets on the way, can't wait to check these out.

I may even have them as loose strings right now. This is why I save old string packages because they equal old string recipes, but I didn't know about these.

That's a cool set!

We have opposite tastes - I have always had a wound third on my electric guitars, too!

I like a wound third also, for chords, but is has it's limitations in the lead department.

I just tried this set out from really old singles and it is awesome for what I was looking for, Tele twangability, and the thin tone of the strings complements the thin tone of the guitar augments it somehow. This neck is actually better than most of my electrics.
