There! I feel a little better now. I hear you're having a cold snap up PacNW way. How's things there?

With all that heat, you are starting to look like Texas. The only difference is probably a bunch of people up in your neck of the woods do not have AC. :?

You need to put those dogs on stilts to get through the snow.

Well, our house is a '37 model, so there's no central AC and no way to retrofit either. Happily, unlike modern houses it has a lot of windows and cross-ventilation. We have window AC units for the whole house, but usually we make do with just the one in the master bedroom. Couldn't sleep otherwise...

How about adding 90% humidity to the mix?

Pascal,

It just hit 101ºF with a ridiculous dew point reading of 76ºF here in Kings Park.

That's gotta be some kind of record. Yuck!

Last time I looked the heat index was 110ºF. Suffice it to say I've given up looking.

I suspect he's using his weatherman equipment to run our A/C cost so high and our minds so weak and desperate that we will have to offer our Guilds for sale at disounted prices, and then he will pop out of his survival cool room and snag them all!!!!

I finally got AC today (electrician hooked up outlet for a window unit). Let it be cold (at least in 1 room of my house lol)
Kevin, I've been all around the US and have found theres nowhere a hotter and muggier place than on the banks of the Mississippi in St. Louis, Mo. in late July waiting to go to a Cards game. You have every reason to cool the WHOLE house man 8) .
