Thanks, guys.

Woody, the Martin is definitely a classic. If you ask the Martin gang, you have to have one in your 12-string collection. Obviously, they're a little biased, but it's hard to deny that it's a wonderful guitar.

Bill, these are the sets I've got to work with, below. I kind of stocked up on strings a couple of years ago when strings and beyond was having some sort of sale, and my obvious bias for the John Pearse PB strings is obvious... In any case, I'm going to stick with these choices for now. I think the Martin 80/20 set on the far right might work well on the D-12-20 and bring out some more brightness -- not sure. The silk and bronze strings are waiting for someday when I feel one of my axes needs to be tamed a little bit. I'm a little hard-pressed to imagine that happening any time soon. :)

I'm with you there. I'm currently using them on all :giggle: my guitars. Great sound, long life. What's not to like?

Yeah, the life thing figures into the equation - you all know how I hate changing strings .

I gotta say, my Guild D 35 has been holding it's own lately. I don't have a rotation schedule but just play one until the urge to change. This lasted two weeks when I tried a set of monels. Time to go back to the Martin D 35 custom.
