I'll probably end up regretting this since I haven't even had it a month but I have bills to pay and I just finished getting the neck, body and all the parts together for my custom build Telecaster.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... _758wt_934

1997 Starfire II- Natural color, comes with Epiphone hsc. Guitar is in 9 out of 10 condition. Only 2 very small dings that are unnoticeable on the back unless you really look for them. Freshly setup with 10's by the best luthier in town. Really have bonded with this guitar something serious in the less than month that I have had it. Frets have next to no wear at all. Gotta get a few bills paid and after playing a SF IV locally I am going to aim for one of those further on up the road. I have the unemployed blues and am broke as a joke. Guilds are a hell of a drug.

I will consider trades for Guild acoustics, a SFIV or Bluesbird

Re: FS- 1997 Starfire II-Natural- w/ HSC

Lots of lookers but no offers, I will consider any reasonable offer. I'd like to get $950 plus shipping if possible but will consider offers.

Also would consider trades for a Starfire IV reissue from 97 or earlier.

HI Mojo, no sarcasm intended, nothing but sympathy, but if I was independantly wealthy I'd take it right off your hands...it's just gorgeous. Plus I'd even give you a buyback clause just in case! Good luck!

The buyback clause would be a nice gesture, because I know I would regret it, but I played a SFIV the other day and it was even better than the II for me. Unfortunately I don't have access to play many guitars, at least not Guilds, before buying.

I want to finish my Tele then work on finding a keeper SFIV and vintage D40. For NOW, that is my goal until I can save up and get my finances in better order for some serious Guild Gas action.

I actually like offering buyback clauses because we all know that we part with guitars for various reasons and later wished we hadn't. Sometimes that can tip the scales in favor of a purchase, too.

Beautiful guitar. Would be a perfect match for my SFIV (that you can't have). And then I'd have a matched set - II,III,IV.

Sadly, I have a mower to fix. Besides, then I'd need to find a case, and I wouldn't be able so sleep until I found a VI. :)

It comes with a like new Epiphone hardshell archtop case. Not a Guild case of course, but I have been looking for one with no luck.

But it you really want to trade for your SFIV then that sounds good....wait you said I can't have it! DOH!

I don't think you were here when I hunted for my SFIV. It was an epic story of Guildaholics the world over supplying me with links to Starfires from every corner of the globe as I lusted for the perfect blonde. I went through three of them before I settled on this one, and even had the fender-esque psuedo-HB1s rewound by a master to keep the look and get the heavenly sound.

So no - you can't have it. :)

Re: FS or FT- 1997 Starfire II-Natural- w/ HSC

I guess I will add that I would be willing to trade my Starfire for a Guild acoustic in a different model than a D25. Maybe a D35-D40, or some type of Jumbo.

Bumping in hopes someone makes an offer! I still haven't listed it on Ebay yet in hopes one of my fellow LTG'ers will get it from me.

$1000 with HSC plus shipping? anyone?

as do i, but for now it looks like it will be staying in MY home! cant find anyone interested and I refuse to list it on Ebay, all the fees make it almost not worth the effort.

I mean I would rather keep it or wait for someone to buy it than give ebay 50-100 on fees. then turn around and give paypal another chunk. I hate it though because I have not played it in a few weeks. I've just been playing my D25's and anytime I plug up to my amp i am rocking the Telecaster.

Soon enough you'll get the urge. It's kind of like some old vinyls I've got, when I get in the mood for just that record, it's so good to still have it!. :D
