Starfire City!!

My Starfire II arrived today, and what a shock - VintageVault/Bizarre Guitar in Reno had it listed as a "2005" SF2, and it most definitely is NOT; it's a Westerly 1999, one of the very last off the line (it's AG3xxx881, and the SF2 numbers stop at AG301083). It must be NOS, it is absolutely mint, and sounds fantastic..... I'm feeling very fortunate today !!!! Since the pix are still up on the web, here is the link again for those who want to see it,

Congratulations! But actually, serial # AG301083 is the last one for 1997. You did not post the complete serial number but if the last x ( in AG30xxx881) is a 0, then your guitar is from 1997. If the last x is a 1, then your guitar is from 1999.

Congratulations bootbun, it's a beauty. Maybe the Vintage/Bizarre folks are more bizarre than they are vintage; I sent them 2 or 3 emails about the F-something beater they have; not a word back but yours is sweeter than sweet! cj

Hans - many thanks for the correction, the full number is in fact AG300881, so looks like it is a '97!

capnjuan, I had the same experience with VintageVault, no response to multiple emails, but when I called them directly at Bizarre (Bizarre seems to handle both their own and the VintageVault inventory) they were great, gave me a good deal, shipped immediately, etc.

Now for something a little more vintage-y......
