If you own a Starfire bass (or any other that has 2x2 tuner configuration & takes strings that fall into the short/medium scale length ballpark), here's a bundle of 7 sets of strings to try out. All have been trimmed and installed on at least one of my Starfires or similar scale length basses, so silks may be frayed, there may be some signs of wear. At one point or another I've cycled through them all of the different sounds, but I've ultimately settled for the most part on NOS Maxima flatwounds and D'addario Tapewounds, so I no longer need all of these.
Please note, both sets of Fender flats, Rotosounds, and the Pressurewounds are long scale sets and have been trimmed to fit the shorter scale. Work just fine, but mentioning in interest of full disclosure.
For those who might be new to the forum or new to bass, Starfire basses have a little extra string length past the bridge saddle and past the nut than a lot of other short scale basses, so if you want to try these on something like a Gibson short scale, some additional trimming may be called for.

See the list of what's included below:

-old formula Fender flatwounds
-new formula Fender flatwounds
-Rotosound flatwounds
-D'Addario flatwounds
-GHS Nickel Pressurewounds
-mystery nickel roundwounds
-mystery purple silk roundwounds (look like stainless steel)

Ideally looking to trade this bundle of string sets for... something! I feel weird putting a dollar figure price on them, but assume these might be interesting/useful to somebody. So maybe you've got something you don't use that I might be able to use? Things that come to mind are some kind of pedal maybe or a pickup (guitar or bass) or a nice/comfy strap or luthier supplies/tools or something else... feel free to throw some ideas out there!

And just for fun, here is a recording of my old Dearmond Starfire with DarkStar pickups, which was strung with the old formula Fender flatwounds then. They are great strings and were my go-to choice for years, which is why I kept this particular old-formula set on hand, for several years, but I just don't see myself going back to them now that I'm used to (and enamored with) the Maxima flats, which I have a big stash of.
