Amazing pics guys. Me I like snakes and had them as pets growing up. Now that I'm all growd up , I think having them as pets is somewhat odd  Still, I don't like to kill them, but I'm not living with them either
Beautiful pics Ken, and when summer comes to south jersey that's when our state bird shows up but it doesn't like nectar it likes our blood :(
Now that one is big enough for a pair of boots :D

It's up to 93 here in Las Vegas today. The A/C comes on in the afternoon to cool the house down enough to make it tolerable. Here we go.... summer's on it's way..... Tom in Vegas
I spent a VERY long Summer out at Mercury years ago... I thought I was gonna DIE! There's a reason they call it Mercury.

Here's a pic of my grandson next to it. Gives me a little bit of a chill. That's as close as he would get, and not without the big stick.

FNG,

What a determined, handsome young man he is, too! :D I bet he's more fun than anything.

Thanks for sharing his picture with the snake with us,

Toni

You're welcome, Toni. I love that boy more than life itself. He is smart, happy, great personality, and funny as heck. He's my best buddy.

Here I'm getting him ready for his debut in Yankee Stadium.

Growing up in Southern California (Ventura County) in a very rural area, I'm used to snakes. We had plenty of rattlesnakes, and plenty of the good kind. Keep the good ones (they eat the food the rattlesnakes eat) and kill the rattlers. They're not good for anyone..... and they show up everywhere. And don't believe the old tale that they have to be coiled to strike. Nuh uh. They can jump at you from any position pretty much, and they will. What an adorable boy. Jeeze, he's cute.

@ AlohaJoe, yes.... summers in the desert are formidable. If it weren't for A/C, I wouldn't be here. Tom in Vegas

Did someone say something about spring?

Streetlamp

Minutes ago, the sky blackened and sleet pelted our skylights so I had to see what was going on.
"Oh," I said to Cindy, "it looks like another lovely spring day in the Northwest."

And what, if I could be so bold as to ask, did you wonder?
Inquiring minds, you know.

I do that a lot, and find myself wondering why I enjoy wandering so much.
Must be the gypsy in my soul.

Cheers,

I've let some copperheads go the past few years, but not on my property. I just have too many loved ones and pets running around to let them hang around the house. If they're not a threat, I let 'em go.

And that's one handsome looking young snake charmer there Pat :) .

We're enjoying spring here in Wisconsin. A week ago Sunday a tornado touched down about 3 miles from here. Today there is 5 inches of snow and still falling. Next week we are scheduled for famine and pestilence.

Seriously, we've had the snow completely melt off and return three times since late February. Today's snow is accompanied by thunder and lightning. When I came home from work this afternoon, there were 4 robins huddled under the shrub in front of the house. Oh well, at least the Brewers are winning tonight.

Good luck with that pestilence, Doc. It's a real bugger!
Famine's no slouch, either.
