Should we be trying to expand the Guild lovers club, or remain a cult like group, or just let the intelligent guitar player find the brand? There are reasons to go each way.
From what I've seen, Guild forwards people here and LTG gets a lot of hits for people searching about Guilds, as does my Blog.
That would make you a buyer.Shhhh! We don't want everyone to discover what a great deal vintage Guilds are.
"Nice" does not scale well.
IMO.
Let the curious find us but there is no need to advertise or promote.
The other group I’m involved in that allows me to be part of this group and society in general states “ attraction rather than promotion”. As Gary said, I found this site when researching my 74 M-75 Bluesbird. It went to GADs review which lead me here, just over a year ago. I checked it out, found in amazing and stuck around.
GAD built it, and they will come. Just let it happen
My 2 cents

"Chief Morlock": That'd be a lot catchier title than "Staff Member".Awesome and thanks!
Please know that I didn’t build it, though. A fellow by the name of Don built and ran this site for years. The site owes its existence to him and it owes the “feel” of the place to him and the mods. I bought the site from him a while back and now I’m just the Morlock that keeps the machines running.
Ridiculous..."Chief Morlock": That'd be a lot catchier title than "Staff Member".
FWIW I consider myself sort of a first line of defense with Hans ultimately being the king of the chessboard.
Bwahahahahaha!!!! Very nice, GAD... Uber indeed!Ridiculous...
Aw!G&L!!..6 or 7 years ago,.I stumbled upon G&l guitars reviews here and there,I liked what I read, found out the brand was not widely available in Europe, I decided I needed a Comanche (almost traveled to London to grab one!) ,ordered one, had it smuggled in from the US (shhhh!).That's part of the fun ... My other guitar is a Saint-Blues 61 South, so I guess I like under-the-radar stuff, and Guilds or Dearmond certainly are in that category. And that's fine by me. Great quality , not loudly trumpeted as "The Best Guitar in The Galaxy and Beyond", and , affordable.(Fronobulax nailed it above) LTG seems to attract benevolent people with a sense of humour, and that in itself is a good promotion fro Guild guitars.Yes, this. In the early days of GuitarsbyLeo (the G&L forum), we tried promoting the site and G&L, but it backfired and brought in trolls. Wasn't worth the effort.
