Bought this one from Charles Johnson at Mandolin World Headquarters in May. Had it looked over and set up for D'Addario 11-40 monel strings at Gryphon in Palo Alto, CA in August. I've just acquired a Loar-era snakehead, so this one has to go, unfortunately. Nice and loud. A player's instrument, but very solid and sound. Finish shows honest play wear expected for a nearly century-old mandolin. Frets and neck are in excellent shape. All original, including the Geib Challenge case, which has a cool sticker for "Patton's Elgin Hawaiian Guitar Band from Elgin, Ill" on it.
