These are really nice. Great deal for $500 too.
I tried one out at Guitar Center a while back. If I was more into the jazz-bass sound I would probably already have one.

Congrats! I've got one in red with the matching red headstock that Guitar Center mis-priced at $599 a bit over a year ago. I love it. Plays great, sounds great.

It's a full size.

fyi.....It's does not come with a HSC. That's an additional $100.00. :shock: 8)

Like Treem said, 34" And kind of narrow, like a Jazz Bass. I think it's basically a J-Bass neck and pickups, obviously, are from the J-Bass as well.

It originally came with a white pickguard but I trade it for a tortoise shell off of a sunburst Jaguar bass.

It originally came with a white pickguard but I trade it for a tortoise shell off of a sunburst Jaguar bass.

The tortoise looks good on that black! I think the only other color that would look good against the red would be a white pearloid.

Yep. I have a similarly colored strat, with the pearly white (I call it "mother of toilet seat") pickguard. It's about the only reasonable alternative on a red guitar.

I've always loved that phrase. Describes pearloid guards perfectly. Especially the cheap ones.
I had a friend whose parents actually HAD a toilet seat like that!

I love these basses, Treem and stig. If the scale wasn't so long, I'd have bought one a long time ago. I especially like the black ones with matching black headstock. Electronics are pretty cool too. Below is my quasi-substitute. I often wonder if it's the design that gave Fender the idea to actually make a Jag bass? It doesn't have that sexy Fender headstock and pearl inlays though.

You know, you got a good deal! It's on its way to you now! I also included the origanal volume and tone knobs but I also left the vintage knobs on, cause they are way much better than the originals.
