Yes, but I need funding for an electric Guild. Truly is a great guitar! :D

Oh my... the GAS pains this FS/FT section gives me. I really have to stop browsing in here.

Treem, and I mean this in the nicest possible way... you are quite the Guild whore!

Though, I'd have to agree... that Bluesbird looks worth trading for. Luckily I'm set with electrics, but this GF-40 looks awesome.

Best of luck with the sale!

Sup Fungus,

I take that "Guild whore!" as a major compliment, bro! :D  8) It's going to be my first Guild electric.

Treem,

How does the neck feel? Small, thin, large, fat?

Any cracks in the body? How's the neck set?

An inquiring mind wants to know, thanks, gilded

Sup Gilded,

How does the neck feel? Slender than a Guild dreadnought

Any cracks in the body? No cracks at all

How's the neck set? Straight and it's had a set-up with a very nice med-low action by the owner before me.

The guitar is basically in great shape for an 87. Y'all please check the Ebay link, it's pretty much sums it up. I've only had the GF40 for a month. I hate to part with it but since I've gotten my first back. And having craving for an Guild electric for a while now. I think it's time pass it on to somebody who is looking a small jumbo Guild with Mahogany back & sides. It's got a strong balance clear tone from bass to treble.

Thank you,
Treem :D :D :D

Treem,

It all sounds great, except the neck. I'm looking for larger necks than slender and thin. Oh, well, very sorry and good luck with the guitar.

Treem, congratulations on your new Bird. Looks like a beauty, bro! Many happy hours/days/weeks/years of strummin'!

Well, the F30R is a sad story. Traded it to gretschbigsby for your ex-GF30. Shipping mishap by USPS left the F30R damaged badly. So, the F30R has been in the possession of USPS for claim evaluation I think since early September. I still can't believe that gorgeous guitar got mishandled & if not destroyed, a fair bit of work would need to be done (no telling how quite much $) given a luthier's evaluation in Milwaukee after it arrived. In any case, it's substantially de-valued now. So, the GF30 has been sitting all cased up in my house as I only open it weekly to ensure it's humidified properly. I'm afraid to get attached not knowing what's going to happen with the claim or whether I'll ultimately be able to keep it or if it gets returned to gretschbigsby. We're both hoping for the best.
