Thanks Littlesongs, and right back to YOU regarding that lovely !2 string coming your way! :D VERY NICE! I share your joy and excitement on that! This one will be a special keeper. After I recover financially, ( may be awhile, as 2 guitars in 6 weeks has done me in! ) I have some BONE nut, saddle and pins planned for her. No future gassing allowed here....no NEED...Ill look , but not touch, and busy myself well and truely with PLAYING these lovelies! The d25 has been on the cards for since I saw them in the early 70's. A neighbor, returning from the war in Vietnam used to play that very model in his yard every day until he got better. I well remember that guitar ,and this one looks much the same. I am delighted to be able to be getting THIS one in particular. Making music, and the healing power contained therein cannot be dismissed........For ME it works wonders, where much else has failed. This guitar will be a fine continuation of the healing process, and given its age, i can think of where i was In my life, when she was made.....and all that has gone on since!
Like you and your 12, We've got some history to make!
Yup, im excited! :D Thanks man! Southern

You aren't a betting man are you?  I believe you, and yet, I'd bet against "I shant need another!" Thats probably true, and lots of us probably believed the same thing, but....these things have a way of multiplying when we aren't looking. Especially if you hang around here. I now have 4 Guilds and got an email from a friend who has an old Guild electric, which I can't afford...now...but If you were to get another, I wonder what It would be. Steffan

Several of us attend Guild gettogethers, occasionally, and usually one person stands up and introduces him/her self...goes something like this, "Hi, my name is _________, and I'm a Guildoholic.  It won't be long before we'll be saying to you, "Hi, SouthernGuild."....I think it won't be long 8)  Steffan

Hey Southern,
Congrats on the new acquisition. The guitar sure is a beauty. Dadthrash's song on that old thread is the song that convinced me that I wanted a D25. I am not disappointed. It is a great guitar with a deep voice, everything a dread should be. And yes, I agree, a maple jumbo is the next step in your new GAS disorder.

What a deal!!! Congrats Southern the 25 is an awsome guitar.
I'm up to 4 dreads now, and every time I pick the 25 up I think to myself "why would anybody spend anymore money in a guitar when they can get this for a few hundred bucks?"
And then I look across the room towards my Gibson and Martin, and think: "It must be a disease."
