I'm selling a D4 that I purchased last year. I bought it for use primarily as a travel guitar, but it isn't getting much use so I'd like to find it a new home.
S/N is AD407372, with a neck-block date stamp of 2000. This is an archback guitar, with a satin finish that has been rubbed smooth on the neck. There are no cracks, repaired or otherwise.
This guitar is in overall good condition, with some minor cosmetic defects to be expected on a 10 year-old guitar that was actually played. A previous owner was apparently a vigorous strummer, & scraped off some of the satin finish between the soundhole & pickguard. There are a few scratches & a ding on the soundboard's lower bout, as shown on the following pics. There are also a couple of scratches on the headstock. There is one light scratch on the bass side of the lower bout, roughly where your arm would rest while playing.
Frets are mostly very good condition, with visible wear only on the first four frets beneath the two treble strings. The bridge is firmly attached, with no gap showing.
It will be shipped in a case that is roadworn but perfectly serviceable; all four case latches work. I believe that the case is older than the guitar.
Other than playing this instrument I've only re-strung it (currently with D'Addario EXP-16 coated strings) & re-oriented the truss rod cover. 8)
Asking $390 plus shipping (price drop as of 3/8/10) . . . thanks for reading!
