Does this count?

Headstock intentionally left out, so you'll have to guess.

Les Paul Standard Plus Double-Cut (whew, what a name) from 2005.

Definitely on the flashy side with the carved figured top and the gold hardware, but this has been about the
only guitar I've been playing since the day I brought it home. The acoustic guitars are whispering behind my back.

Best parts: Light weight (it's chambered) and great neck.

I picked this up at a little shop in Daytona called "The Guitar Attic". Great shop, btw. It's had some repairs to the neck joint (which reduced the price), but Mr. Fixit looked it over gave his seal of approval.

Ought to be a Saturday morning tradition I'm thinking. Pascal on Saturday morning. Now THAT would be a great reality show, eh?

Man I dig that sexy playing. The solid forum has always been slow 'round here.

My first love in the Guild world was the S300A-D.

I thought for sure that was a PRS. Should have known better because of the block inlays. That is one beautilicious LPDC.

Another home run performance, BP!

Thanks, TF!

I've read that these guitars were supposed to be Gibson's answer to PRS. Can't compare tho... I've never played a PRS.

I have a PRS EG II (sorry no pics) and love the wide neck. It has fralin (P90 style) pickups in the neck and middle position that sound crazy good.

Dave - I sure like that Double-Cut Gibson.

Pascal - you rock!

GAD - I still think the S300 is still my fav. Guild.

You da man, Pascal.

I've just been distracted lately and haven't checked in much. The S-100 Owners' Roster changes are getting backlogged too.

Bluespicky, that was great. I always dig your videos; you play with soul, taste and ferocious chops.
Is that straight into the amp or do you have some pedals running?

Thanks Dennis!
I have a tiny bit of added gain through the Okko Diablo. Adds warmth at recording friendly levels....

Thanks for the reply, BP. That's a groovy pedal; I gotta check one out. It sounds like a DR on about '8'. When I watched your vid, I thought you must live out in the country to be able to turn a DR up that loud!

That's it exactly.
And that is why the Okko works so well with these old Fenders, it doesn't fuzz at all, it just recreates the amp natural breakup, without having to go to 8 as you say, with the proper settings.
I just tried it on the BFPR briefly yesterday... Oh boy!
