We try hard - ain't that cute 🐾

@ruedi found me a X2000 in Swizerland
I found a Pilot Bass for @EWH - he lives in Denmark

Plus many other members have gone out of their ways helping others get guitars.

So did you get maple Starfire VI ? ? ?
Hi,
Not yet... it takes me a while to do all my homework and research. I still want to find one locally to try out, or a similar model. I'm looking at the size again and wondering if it might also be too big. I will post any updates.

hi i m japanese.

of course, i bought some vintage guilds in japan (D25M & GF30)
if japanese music store is trying to sell the guitars,
usually they are well-maintenanced because of our national caracter :)
worth to try
What is the yen/dollar exchange rate? I have noticed that certain guitars are much more expensive there. I was very surprised to see Mexican made Fenders selling for more than the similar Japanese model! I have a PRS S2, it was $1500.00.
The same model in Japan is in the vicinity of 2500.00US.
I just recalled that I actually sold a Guild to someone in Japan back in the 1990s. Old eBay was great! But I never purchased a guitar directly from Japan. But every guitar I've seen is photographed extremely well. I have never heard of a bad transaction from others who have. I have also heard members here talk of their great experience.

well, now 1 us dollar is 137 yen.
we have to pay extra tax when items are imported. thats why overseas items become more expensive than original country.
cars are same. Toyota, Honda other japanese cars r cheaper in japan but i saw car ad in US. it was expensive than japan.

talking about vintage guitars, guilds are still affordable even in japan.
martins or gibsons cost twice...
for some reason, some of wood material take times to pass the custom when they are imported or exported.
i think they need some paper works.

Hi

as a Marine I was stationed in Japan from 1997-2000 and returned with a few Japanese Fender Guitars and a like new 1981 sunburst D25 with the orginal case. I just put the D25 down to write this post, I love that guitar!
