John was as he always is, which is pretty darn great. Saturday show was a bit more subdued. Maybe 2 nights in a row is tougher on him than it used to be, but still fantastic. The only song he didn't play that I thought was unusual was Hello in There. He did play several that he doesn't usually play, like Humidity Built the Snowman, Daddy's Little Pumpkin, Donald and Lydia, and Speed at the Sound of Lonliness. Opening act was a young gal and guy named Kendel Carson and Dustin Bentall. They are usually solo acts, but together they were really good. Kendell is a fine singer and fiddle player, Dustin plays guitar. I highly recommend them both.

When I last saw John it was pretty obvious that he was slowing down, but doggone it, he's still doing it!
