I have four Guilds hanging in my office/cave and "they" insist that I hang the banjo in the hall!

Not in the outhouse - or in the next block

Actually I said something last night at Melksham Folk club I never thought I'd say - "Phil - have you brought the banjo tonight - it would go well with this one?" (It was 'Wagon Wheel')

have you ever sliped another guitar past the wife and rotated it with the others so you would not have to tell her you just had to have another ?
also, know this. the women in our lives are very perceptive, probably far more than you know.
I didn't bother to tell Huck about the D-55 way back when. I thought I'd really pulled one off. To this day, she has never mentioned its appearance in the stable. But she also does not get any flack from me when she brings home a new pair of shoes.
Oh, she has many shoes. :(

I had serious GAS early this year, buying four, probably before April was up, most with my wife's previous knowledge. One, however, was slipped in through deception. I was taking a guitar to a luthier for some repair, told my wife that I had two to bring and brought an empty case. I had agreed to buy a seven-string Giannini from him and brought it home in the (previously empty) case, telling my wife that I wound up trading the other guitar. I also once had a guitar shipped to my work and brought it home months later. It was a $100 beater so it wasn't too bad anyhow. I also gave away 4 guitars and a banjo this year, so overall I came out even in guitar numbers and replaced the banjo with a mandolin.
Does she know how much I pay for most of them? No, but she figures it's balanced by all the veterinary bills we had this year (not quite). :)
