Well, I know I'm not the only one looking, but I'm looking for a hard case that'll hold the JS in transit. I don't need an original, and actually, the best would be an instrument-shaped case, you know, the kind that shipped with Gibson EB3s back in the day, which share very similar dimensions to the JS.

Anyway, I'm in Korea, as you know, and shipping on the case along will probably run about 80 bucks, or more. But if it's functional, solid, and internally complete I'm game for a discussion. I just honestly can't find anything that fits in Seoul and sometimes a gig bag, even a padded and structured one, doesn't do.

A big warning... I do a bit of buying & then selling basses, just to try them out. Really kinda dumb.

Not long ago I bought a Goya EB3-L copy to check out. It came without a case so i bought an Epiphone EBO/3 case from one of the big online websites. A flimsy thing, really. OK for your home & the front seat of your car, but I wouldn't trust it in a van or truck full of gear.

But as an afterthought, I tried to put my JS-II into it. It did not fit. The neck on the Guild was too long for the case.
