serial no/date help

The number is 144030 says the seller and the year is 1975. Could this be true?

For some reason neither of the links work for me, but I can tell you that serial # 144030 would be an instrument from 1976.

What instrument are we looking at?

Well, on the Ebay-Page the X-500 is listed as an Instrument from 1976. Asked for the serial number the dealer wrote:

Artikelbezeichnung: GUILD X-500 Archtop Jazzgitarre von:::: 1975
Artikelnummer: 130148842087
