Hello everyone,

It's been a while since I've posted on the forum. Hope all of you are well.

After much debate, I've decided to sell my immaculate F-512. It's become apparent to me that, as much as I love this guitar, I'm just not a 12 string kinda guy. So, best put it the hands of someone who will take full advantage of the best 12 string ever made. Basically, the guitar is perfect, not a mark on her. And she plays and sounds awesome. I was originally going to just list the guitar locally, but have decided to broaden my options and have listed it on Reverb. As some of you might remember, I'm in Canada, which kinda complicates things for selling in the USA. To avoid CITES paperwork and delays, I'm willing to personally hand deliver the guitar to the border and then ship it from either New York state or Vermont to its final destination.

If any LTGers are interested, I'll be offering it here on this forum for $2500 USD + 250$ shipping (fully insured including all shipping fess, cross border fees, etc.). Please PM me if you want to discuss it. Shipping fee is an estimate. Actual cost could be lower depending on where you're located.

Here is the ad on Reverb: https://reverb.com/item/13807775-guild-f-512-2014-natural

Wishing the best to all of you and have a great summer!

Boy, that truly is immaculate, Claude. I'm sorry the F-512 never put its hooks in you. Good luck with the sale!

I can understand that even though I am a 12-string kinda guy. They are considerably different than 6 strings! I'm sure the members here appreciate your offering up this beauty, and at a very reasonable price! Best of luck with the sale, which I don't figure will last long!

I can see by your sig that you own a few 12 strings... but don't see a F512 in that list. Just sayin :encouragement:

Heh. Unfortunately, I just picked up a Gibson J45, which, frankly, I'm not real crazy about. Will probably be letting it go, but I've got to recover that cash before another acquisition.

Not to mention the house I just bought up on Lake Pend Oreille in northern Idaho. And those window coverings have to go! :nevreness:

Sell the J45, take down the curtains and insert the F-512 into that beautiful scenery and you have perfection. :)

Folks, I've begun to receive some offers on Reverb. I would rather this exceptional guitar stay "in the family" so to speak. If any of you are thinking about it, now is the time to manifest your interest.

Thanks, Clyde. As far as I'm concerned, go ahead and take a good reverb offer. As tempting as yours is, the timing ain't great for me, and I'd actually prefer a sunburst. Best wishes!

Clyde, I see in your reverb ad that you say the bridge and fingerboard are rosewood. No! They're ebony! I simply love the ebony boards on my JF30-12 and F50R! (I got lucky with the JF30-12 -- they don't always have ebony boards.)

You're both half right (and half wrong). The fretboard on the F-512 is ebony, but the bridge is rosewood. It's different than the F-50R, Cougs.

Thanks for pointing that out. I copy/pasted the specs from a website and didn't catch that. I corrected the text.

Have had a couple of low ball offers and one that seems very promising but no commitment as of yet. As much as I'm looking to sell my F-512, I'm hoping it will find a good home...

Is that the castle that was for sale??? Didn't think the water views were that good.

No, it's not the castle, which needed a lot of work. It's a great house with a great view overlooking glacial Lake Pend Oreille up in the Idaho panhandle. I'll have to add a new thread with more pics over in 'LTGers Only' before long....

B. U. T. ful place. Cannot picture a more scenic setting to settle down with your family for a spell and, of course, a couple of your favorite Guilds. That would have to put one in touch with ones soul.
