gotta sell it to cover other purchases. this one is in excellent shape with little checking and zero cracks. heel-cap is deteriorated. has a few small mike dings on the sides, top is clean. top has gone a great amber color. the sound on this one is what you thought you meant when you talked about a Guild 12 string...rich, deep, solid, and harmonious, with huge bass, and nuclear volume. neck is straight and clean, action nice and low.original tuners work fine. has had bone saddle and pins added, original pins will be shipped with it. Fishman electronics with all bands working, and the pickup is incredibly "hot" and accurate in acoustic sound. you can see a pic in my thread "are guilds for the birds?" original hard case in decent shape, handle repaired.

Price is $900 plus shipping to continental US...heavy, probably run $50 or so.

email me at mikeoso@aol.com, or call me at 563-506-5479

Hi Professor Mike: I hope you find a buyer for your guitar. You might consider adding some pics to provoke interest or, if the recent pic of you and BirdMan contains this guitar, might re-post it here .... good luck! CJ

The Wikis seem to suggest that if it (you know what I mean..) is commerically significant, it's guano. Commonly applied to bat and seabird discharge; can amount to more than a hill of beans...

If Professor Mike has an aviary ... he could be in the guano biz and have the nicest Petunias in the neighborhood ...

no poo on this one...and for those of you who actually care, commercial guano usually takes hundreds of thousands of years to accumulate, and is never fresh

here's that pic again:

So, I take it you're going to be Guildless, then, Mike? Can you afford to take that leap?

o, I take it you're going to be Guildless, then, Mike? Can you afford to take that leap?

Lamentably, I can't afford not to...gotta pay for an outburst of Martin fever that grabbed me last week and made me run out and buy a matching pair of 6 string and 12 string.

Also, truth be told, the Guild just wasn't comfy for me to play anymore. I had to go to a wider flatter neck to suit the mashed up old mitts you see in that pic. If I could keep that sound and attitude with a neck off a '63 Gibson B-45-12, I'd have the best of all possible worlds. But, since i can't, I'm going for the all-mahogany Martin J12-15. Totally different vibe, but it's sweet.

Don't worry it will only be temporary. He'll be back. I remember when he sold his Martins and it wasn't too long ago.

Hmmm... wonder how much it would cost to the Philippines. About as much as the guitar I suspect! Not the most economical place to ship things to!

It does look a lovely instrument though...

Hi dayuhan; you can actually find out how much USPS will charge by checking their webpage: Priority Mail, not including insurance, in the $100-range - 6/10 day service. http://ircalc.usps.gov/IntlMailServices ... 0&O=0&sd=1 Despite the bad rap they get in the US and an occasional blunder , the consensus is that they do pretty well w/ both amps and guitars. I've used them for several guitars; no problem. John

That's actually pretty reasonable... but would those dimensions accommodate a guitar box? Having had some experience with an abstract concept called "dimensional weight" while trying to ship kayak paddles, I had the impression that cost shoots up dramatically beyond a certain size. Of course there's also the local 3rd world customs demons to contend with...

Beautiful plumage on the parrot, a Norwegian Blue perhaps? And is it... an ex-Parrot?
