Went buy and checked my new baby out today(it’s on layaway, pending GC gift cards for birthday and Fathers Day). The case is in pristine shape AND has the original owners manual that looks like it’s never even been looked at! The serial number is F300111, but everything I find states it should be F0000XXX. Did someone get lazy on a Friday afternoon and drop a zero? Inquiring minds want to know.

The answer to your question: probably. Guild serious numbers are like the Twilight Zone sometimes.

Where are you seeing the serial number; on the inside sticker, on the headstock?

Not sure where you look, the official Guild list from the Guild website shows that F300111 is a 1992 made one.

Ralf, that list shows why the OP is confused.

Looks like there is a zero missing on his label. Note that your image shows three zeroes in the middle, but his s/n only has two zeroes.

Clearly that makes the guitar a fake Guild because there were never any mistakes on the labels!
:)

This is why we are still waiting to hear what is on the back of the headstock.

Actually, just found one sold on Reverb that also only had 3 zeros. Has Guild outdone itself by making a mistake in their SN master list, therefore immediately making EVERY serial number for ALL F-30 CE’s incorrect!
Brilliant!!

If that "sold" instrument had three zeroes in the middle of its s/n, it would be in agreement with the published list . . . the OP has a guitar with a label that only shows two zeroes.

Ah, so that example also has only two zeroes.

Maybe Hans can weigh in on this topic.

Looks like a "valid" serial would be an F followed by seven digits. The first four of those digits should be a 3 followed by three zeros. Looks to me like the label matches the stamp and the stamp is missing a zero.

I’ve only seen 2, and both only have 6 digits, mine and the one on reverb. So I would conclude the master list is incorrect or someone missed a zoom call back in ‘93🤣

You guys get excited about errors in the serial number list ? Everybody know that there are errors...

Paul wrote in his inital post: "everything I find states it should be F0000XXX. " So there was no 3 in it... Now talk about errors...

Nope! Plays like a DREAM and sounds as good as she looks! Slapping some 11.5 Silk and Steels on her tonight and playing until my fingers bleed! 1 owner, had original sales receipt and there is not a mark on the guitar or the case!
