On stage, I think I saw Rodger with both a -412 and a -512 on hand. He's certainly one of the only folks out there with an arsenal of Guild 12s in a performance. Very cool.

Oh, anyway, in that Give a Little Bit viddie, I could be mistaken from the lights, but I think I see lighter maple (not rosewood)... That'd be a -412. Again, not sure.

I thought I saw the glint of abalone on the body binding right at the start...does an F412 get that, and a G-shield? Oh, it's got railroad tracks on the fretboard too.
Lotta guys really love maple for flat response in recording and mic'ing though.

Hi Al,

The F-412 and F-512 look pretty much the same except for the back and side wood. And, I don't think there'd be any abalone binding (only white plastic), though there is possibility that there would be abalone in the soundhole rosette, if this were a '90s era guitar (in which case it'd be a JF-65-12 or JF-55-12) or a brand new one.

thanks steffan but were not arguing. I think people are just havin a little fun. Isnt that what this is all about??
However I did get reprimanded from the LTG Post Policeperson for posting that vid of Roger. i just wanted to know if it was an F512. So what if its been posted a 1000 times before. Yeah I coulda checked, but is that going to answer my question?? Is there an FAQ in the checked zone??? If you ve seen it before then dont watch it again. Like everything you ever posted was the first lookie look. Hardly.
As Sargeant Hulka said in the movie "Stripes" "Lighten up Francis"

Hey Steffan Thanks for the great post of Rodger, loved it, could watch it a 1000 times.

Watch out the LTG Utube post police is on the lookout.

'Zackly. Even when "Search" is in a "cooperative" mode.
There's reason Frono calls it his "Search FU".
As in: "My Search Fu is AFU"
