Hi Guys

Wonder if anyone there can help out, the fact that most of you sit in a different continent to me is an advantage straight off. (I'm in the UK)

I've got a Rivera Venus 3 amp that's developed a fault (no sound since you ask, although the power amp drives with a lead in the effects loop, and the reverb cracks when you nudge the amp, and I've changed the 2 12ax7s, so its a fault early on in the preamp).

But, I just can't get through to Rivera, either by mail or on the phone, and I've got no schematic, so I'm pretty much stuck.

Anyone know how to get hold of these guys short of driving up to the factory?

When it works, its a smashing amp BTW - perfect for home use and plenty of boot for a small club gig.

cheers

David

I found this PDF link to a schematic for a Rivera Venus 5, It is not a Venus 3 schematic but it may be similar enough to get you a starting point. If I had questions about Amp schematics or Amp repair the first person I would try and get a message to is member Default here on the forum. He may have a lead or know how to get you started on the path to where you need to be as he is into the whole Amp repair and schematic thing.

Here is the link to the PDF of the Rivera Venus 5 schematic that I found.

Hope this helps and sorry if it didn't.

Thanks TX

I already found this one, and was expecting it to be similar but it's not. The arrangement of the input falls down straight away, there must be a capacitor on the input line to pin 7 of V1 (I've got a cable plugged in to take out the grounding resistor) And there seems to be some different solid state circuitry around there.
I may just have to take the pcb out and chase the tracking. Thanks again and I will try Default.

Wow strange that you cannot get a hold of Rivera via email. They always respond very quickly if I have questions about my Clubster. They give great support so this sounds like your email may be getting stuck in their spam folder.

Or there's a problem with the international address, some systems get set up to reject 'em out of hand.
And/or they may have a dedicated rep in Europe to deal with those inquiries?
