RIP. Great singer. In college when Rumours came out - all over the radio!

Did not jump in and piggyback on the thread “What band blew your mind”. “In-A-Garda-Da-Vidda”, Doors, Zep, Who, Leo Kottke were all well covered there. Stationed in Germany from ‘77 till ‘83 “Rumors” was one of the albums we sprang for. If the definition of “blew your mind” was standing in front of the speakers, frozen in place and awed by the music and played it over and over, then “Songbird” is there.

Hard to hear for me which harmony she has on this tune, but my favorite song of them for sure. Wait, I think she is doing that high vocal on the chorus. Kind of like an echo.

I was stunned to hear about her death. I always had a thing for Christine; beautiful, talented, sultry, smoky voice, and nobody looked better in a shag haircut (with the exception of Jane Fonda). RIP. Very sad. She was one of those rare women who got better looking as she aged. That's quite a feat.
