Hi folks. Looking around at a semi hollow, and as I have 2 reissue Guilds already (t-bird and polara) I am thinking of the semi hollow route.
I'd prefer the ST bridge as opposed to the older looking bow type bridge.
Any opinions on the new reissues? The natural one is what I'd go for, though the green one looks equally as cool. I assume these are Korean made too at the price range.
I have seen used Epi koreans from 90s, early 00s for way cheaper but the Guilds do look really good.

I think they're pretty great for the money. Nice necks, good fretwork, lighter than most (if not all) vintage ones I played, more "real guitar" feeling than say, recent epiphones. That said, I'd look for a used one, because I'm cheap.

Also, check prices on Westerly and Corona SFIV's. Usually not expensive at all, underpriced for how much guitar you're getting, and when you compare the prices to a full priced new korean one, really the better deal.

From GAD's Newark St. Starfire I review: "If you worked for me and wired this I’d make you work in the repair department until you understood the benefit of clean wiring."

No kidding. What a mess! Matter of fact, I wouldn't let them work in the repair department either.

I've conducted soldering seminars all over the world; Soldering Solutions International. Maybe I need to present a solder training proposal to Samick, Indonesia...
