Like the look of these. I have tried to contact them over the last week. Just fired off another email from home this morning. No response so far.
Can anyone recommend a reseller in the US who might be able to ship to Australia?
The main thing I remember about Burbank is it's the home of a big movie studio, right? I can see the shield on some old B&W TV show credits from the 60s... :) ... or a voiceover "From the studios of ....... in downtown Burbank"

I just bought four sets of Red Bluegrass gauge to try as strings and beyond was having a buy one get one free sale. I'm going to try the on the D50 very soon, and the Gibson next to see if it's a good match. I see a lot of mixed reviews on them, so we'll see. The only US internet retailer that I know that ships to Oz is Sweetwater, but they don't sell Red strings. I'd be happy to ship them to you if that works for you; if you like Bluegrass gauge (12-56) I'll send you a couple of mine.

Thanks.. very kind offer. But I may fire off some emails to their US distributor list. I'd be putting them on a GAD-JF30, so I guess 12s would work.
Shall wait and see if the Gatling Gun email campaign yields results, in the meantime.

If that doesn't yield any result, let me know. It's easy enough to get them here, not always at half price, though.

Not a great price though, sheesh!

That's Oz dollars too Bill, which are now worth more than ours despite being worth only $.60 in early '09.

Edit: you'd think that would make them cheaper down there. Oh, well...

Email from ubersonic guy says $20/set, but 15% off for a box of 10.
I suspect the old "importer's margin". The penalty for living upside down, in a faraway/smallpopulation country.
Shall still look at trying to get them online from USA. After all, I got my GAD-JF30 that way.

...oops, just typed 'loving upside down', instead of 'living..." Gotta be careful what you type. Could be misconstrued.

...yes, the exchange rate sure helped with the Guild. The world's a crazy place right now. That exchange rate is mostly about having ducked the worst of the GFC. A lot to do with stuff dug up out of the ground and shipping it to China. And partly luck, I suspect. But we have a '2 speed economy' to show for it. A whole other discussion. Too gloomy for the LTG!

Just been wading through USA dealer list. Like through wet concrete. A lot don't have websites. Have sent a couple of enquiry emails. If anyone's aware of what the larger stores are...
