since my quest for the ultimate crossroads (my guild cr-01) electronics is not finished because the installed fishman AG-125 with AGP2 does not work properly with the new magnetic pickup and the new electronics (some small distortion I can not get rid of from the fishman side) I am looking for a passive transducer to feed the new electronics with.

Do you guys have any recommendations for a passive UST that already sounds good without a preamp?

Thanks in advance

Where I come from, that would be a saddle blanket. Goes between the horse and the saddle. It's passive.

Not a UST perse but a K and K pure western mini is top notch and doesn't suffer from any annoying UST percussiveness or quackiness. I've fitted a couple of these, including one to my DV6 and it's a really easy procedure, the hardest thing is drilling/reaming out the end pin hole to 12mm for the end pin jack.

most of the guitar is described here already:

the new electronics is for testing a modified noll mixpot 1 (similar to the fishman powerchip):
http://www.noll-electronic.de/sites_e/mixamp_2.html
this activates the prails and is also switchable to passive mode but there is no chance of getting a clear signal from the fishman preamp. I will try the installed fishman AG-125 without the agp2 first and if it doesn't work have to choose something different.
Then I will also be able to get a modified noll preamp with tone control suitable for my needs.
the k&k pure western would have been my choice if the thinline crossroads only had space to mount it.
so it probably must be a undersaddle solution.

chris,
I did not only this, and they did not even answer the question (ok, after recommending the powerchip and 4 emails - though I had to ask twice to get an answer) if the matrix UST won't work with the powerchip, will the old AG-125 do?
I know I am not an interesting customer for them but at least an "of course" would have been helpful.
So, I am open to more suggestions now

...and meanwhile I only want this axe to work the way I need it. It is 4 months I am trying to solve this problem now.
the price is not this important - and mr. noll only wants money if his electronics is working the way I want it to. where do you find something like this service anymore?
