Got this a couple/three weeks ago, adjusting to taste a bit at a time.
I put the TOM on, because I play an unwound third.
Early 1997 serial number, like new condition, seems pretty much unplayed, a couple of little body scratches is all.

Very nice companion to my 1973 X500.

Nice guitar!

Yeah, very nice! X-170’s are really a great design. I hope yours sounds as good as it looks.

I also have a '97 X-170, but in natural. One of the best designs ever, IMHO.
Congratulations, your X-170 is gorgeous!!

I agree.
The one inch less body depth makes a very manageable guitar.
Not that I don't love my X500--I do, and it is a very versatile instrument.

I have an '86 (IIRC) X170 natural, don't play it often, but it's a great guitar. Hope you enjoy yours.

And thanks everyone for no snarky comments about my quick snap of the guitar in my messy office/music room!

Hi. is the nut width 1-11/16 on your beautiful ‘97? Or a little narrower..?
In fact, how is the neck profile in general, asides from the nut width? Thin or round, with some shoulders?
Thank you!

The nut is 1-5/8, and the neck profile is slim.
Very similar to my 73 X500.
Very comfortable, very fast neck to play.
I like it.
