Very rare, very heavy duty original Guild Starfire gigbag, Talon zippers work fine. Some vintage mustiness can be expected, do not buy if easily offended by the small of old trunks, that musty old closet smell, as it may have some. At the same time, if hasn't been Febrezed by someone and that's a huge plus here, can't stand toxic perfumes so prevalently
used on everything.

Very solid condition, a time capsule gigbag.

$375 shipped via PPal. Shipping is not cheap on account of size and weight.

At full price I'll make an appropriate donation to the site, otherwise conditions will be worked out with buyer for same, the rest of the proceeds going towards my Swisher fund.

Thx all.

That's really cool. Any idea when it's from?

The bag could be late 50's even, predating Starfires, made for a T-100D?

The Guild Inc logo is apparently quite old, but quite possibly used into the 60's?

I've used it myself with a few appropriate instruments, it is plenty sturdy and and has a great front pocket.

2 zippers go from the center to the edges, common with period bags.

I'll try to get a pic of a guitar in it today, light permitting.

Maybe that really is the beginning year of the Guild gigbag.

Possibly made by one of the NYC leather jacket makers like Schott?

i've seen these before, even one or 2 for a SF bass and one for a Jeststar bass. they are 60's, and appear to be similar to the ones Fender had. I don't think they go back to the 50's. cool find.
