I had no idea that the Trident was such a landmark. It sounds like the Trident is the Cliff House of Sausalito.
The Trident is as old now as the Columbus Tower was then. I can't imagine any of the cats on this forum are square enough to dig the Kingstons. I can't imagine Frank Werber in Silver City, NM, either. There's a nifty Indian ruin there. But come to think of it, the town is a ruin too.
About ten years ago, I sat in front of the Trident on a bench with an old friend from the 1960s. So naturally we sang Paul Simon's "Old Friends."
