Were these ever on Guilds? I've seen these only on Hofners.

Hello Darryl,

To the best of my knowledge these were never used on Guild guitars. It's the same maker though, but I guess you had already figured that out!

Sincerely,

Sausy,

Thanks for the link.

I had no idea that the Trident was such a landmark. It sounds like the Trident is the Cliff House of Sausalito.

The Trident is as old now as the Columbus Tower was then. I can't imagine any of the cats on this forum are square enough to dig the Kingstons. I can't imagine Frank Werber in Silver City, NM, either. There's a nifty Indian ruin there. But come to think of it, the town is a ruin too.

About ten years ago, I sat in front of the Trident on a bench with an old friend from the 1960s. So naturally we sang Paul Simon's "Old Friends."

"Old friends
Sat on a park bench like book ends.....
Can you imagine us years from today
Sharing a park bench quietly?
How terribly strange to be seventy."

I have eleven more years to go.
