Yeah he used two different altered tunings and the second one especially was pretty floppy on the bass strings. I like the playing though.Nice playing but I think he in drop A or something like that and the low string sounds pretty muddy.
Ralph Towner Quartet live in Oslo 1975 playing a Guild 12-string (G-312?) about 9:10 in. Jan Garbarek on sax and Eberhard Weber on bass aren't bad either.
Last night's video theme at our Tuesday night with the guys was northern European jazz. I was really surprised to see the Guild 12-string used in that format.what no cowboy chords?

Here's one with jazz guitarist Mary Halvorson talking about and demonstrating her unique playing style & approach. Her main guitar is an Artist Award. (Actually, calling Halvorson a "jazz" guitarist is kinda limiting…she's not really a genre player.)
