How big is the neck at the nut?

What is the serial number? [you x-out the last digit]

How much does is weigh?

What kind of pickups?

Does it come with some of your Vintage Purple Spandex?

Thanks, gilded

Hey Harry,

Nut is 1" 11/16
Serial is CL002535
Don't have a scale to weigh it accurately but it's bone stock so I'd go by the factory specs (if they exist... lol)
Pups are SD1's
If only I could out my hands on these damn purple spandex I sure would throw them in, but I would need a pic of you in it (preferably playing a Firebird) to make this happen :star:

Are you sure your Bluesbird has SD-1 pickups ? You probably mean SH-1, or?
They should be:
Neck: Seymour Duncan Classic Cover™ series '59 model™ SH-1N
Bridge: Seymour Duncan Classic Cover™ series '59 model™ SH-1B

I have an '02, Corona-made BluesBird Gold-Top that I really like. It has the same pickups as yours, but has a very large neck, 1 3/4" at the nut with a very full feel.

While I like my guitar a lot, it has a Bigsby I don't use much and I wish it didn't have the extra weight. So, if the neck on your guitar was the same as mine, I would be totally interested. The only Westerly 'Bird I've played had a neck that was 1 11/16ths at the nut, but was fairly slim at the same time. That's not what I'm looking for, so I'm out of the race!

Good luck with your sale! HH

Would it be an appropriate gift as the first electric for someone who cringes when her acoustic is miked and she thinks she's too loud? Will you deliver it personally? (You do have permission to leave the spandex at home, if you do).

It most certainly would have been an appropriate transition, with the thick neck profile not being too traumatizing in the jump from acoustic, but I am regretfully (and happily) announcing that said instrument has been sold...

I will let the new caretaker step forward if so he chooses. :)

But do kiss madam for me if you please. :strawberry:

Done. Her eyes did light up at "quilted top" but she admitted if she had to have an electric she'd start looking at the double cutaway, non-Bigsby Starfires first. Congratulations on the sale.

A bit disappointed I must say, after I read what followed the quoted statement.... I thought it would have been a direct consequence of the kiss. Oh well.......

I did!... and prepared a box for her where she will bathe in styrofoam chips for her next trip.
I'll keep fond memories. She really is one pretty wood slab.

Good, Keep her exercised until further notice. I wouldn't want her to get out of practice. :joyous:
