Love the sound. I know it’s entry model, but for me, a great place to start.

These are a great value for sure. Nice old-school tones and the necks are quite comfy. With my lanky arms though, I always struggled with viola/violin type bodies. Regardless though, sweet bass! Welcome to the dark side :devilish:

Awesome! I love the sounds of those. I've mentioned before on here that I have a '65 Hofner Club Bass that gets that classic hollow Hofner thump. My favorite bass!

Have fun! It makes it more enjoyable to figure out those Macca basslines.

I can’t even play acoustic anymore. I love the bottom tones now. Gonna take sone time to get a guild bass.

Macca has said on many occasion that his Hofner alone purely dictated his playing style and that any other bass would have completely changed The Beatles as we know them today. ;) With most musician's emphasis being on the player controlling the instrument, I have to admit, I get giddy whenever I hear of the instrument controlling the player....as that is exactly what my hollow body electric Guild does to me. It's definitely not just a guitar. I wager the same with that^ bass and similar style models. (weight and feel playing a major factor)

That's a smart looking bass WW. LOVE the pic w/ the light through the blinds.(y) Enjoy, and don't be afraid to give it a good slap if it acts up!

My Starfire does not control my playing but I find myself using more creative right hand techniques on it. Like it encourages the right hand to try different things to craft the sound. It is sensitive to that. It is a bass that brings out the creativity of my right hand.
