Hi guys, I am from Rome, Italy. I just bought a beautiful pre owned 1994 Guild Bluesbird with SD 59 pickups. They are not different, bridge and neck pu have the same wiring values of 7,46 kohm, and I do appreciate this. The bridge pickup has no "nose" in its midrange sound. Anybody knows the values of pots and caps in this guitar? Caps are ceramic ones with "02 3M" written on the surface, caps are 137703 5033 for volumes and 137702 5033 for tones. Thank you in advance.

Benvenuto a LTG! The cap values are .02 microfarads and the pots are 500K ohm. Also, we love photos of guitars. :)

I think the previous owner removed pus' cover. Perhaps they were SD HB1 style.
Thank you so much for the answer!

That is an early one! The early Bluesbirds (1996 and some from 1997) had the black pickguard, black control knobs, black pickup bezels and no pickup covers. It is most likely all original! Complimenti!

I have a couple of Tom Holmes humbuckers and a Wizz Paf Clones one. I am going to check them in my Bluesbird, but removing such a fine wiring and soldering frightens me a bit...

Thank you so much! I guess the serial number says it's a 94 or 95: CL000091.
I do hope it's not a Fender made guitar... I also owned a Nightbird I in the late 80s, with spruce top and DiMarzio pickups. I have been searching one for years but they seems so rare. Is it possible to upload a video of my Bluesbird details?

That’s a Westerly-made Bluesbird. Wiring and such should be on my site.

There's no such thing as a '94-95 Bluesbird. That's probably a ~1997. Made in Westerly.

I didn't know they made Bluesbirds in 96 thinking they started in 97.
Something learned today.

Thank you everybody! It's fine to be in such a passionate and competent group. I have been the publisher and editor of Italian monthly Axe Guitar Magazine since 1995 till 2014. Now the mag is digital only and free online and I continue managing it with a few columnists just for pleasure.

~1997 means around 1997. Don't know if that's an Americanism.

Tech thing. I didn't run across the tilde ~ as meaning "approximately" until a couple years into a math degree. I suspect an academic path that veered away from the quantitative never ran into it.

Hello everybody! Here are some pictures and a link ( https://www.adkguitar.com/pages/dating-a-guild-guitar )
that says CL000091 serial number makes this Bluesbird a 1994 to 1996 built guitar.
In the truss rod slot there's an ink date: 10/10/96, I don't know about the initial 3. So, 1996 should be the year.
Please, also note the quality of the wiring - though I'll probably change the ceramic caps with Jensen PIOs - and the gap between the SD 59s and their frames, making me think they were ready to wear an HB-1 style cover.
